Summer Shade Bookkeeping
Bookkeeping for Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical Contractors
Accurately categorized transactions, reconciled accounts, and timely monthly financials, plus a short video overview that helps you understand your numbers and your business.
When was the last time you knew — really knew — which jobs made you money and which ones quietly cost you?
If someone asked you today which service lines are the most profitable and keep your lights on, could you answer from your numbers? Or would you have to guess?
Maybe your books are months behind. Or maybe they are current because you spend your evenings and weekends doing them yourself. Either way, you started this business because you are great at the trade — not because you love QuickBooks. And the hours you give the books are hours you will never get back.
Your trucks are rolling. Your techs are busy. But when it comes to the numbers — pricing the next bid, deciding whether to hire, figuring out what is actually paying off — too many owners are working half-blind. And every April, the behind ones hand their CPA a mess and pay CPA rates for bookkeeping work.
I take that entire burden off your plate. I am an Advanced QuickBooks ProAdvisor who only works with home service trades (Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical Contractors). I clean up backlogs, bring books fully current, and keep them that way every month.
You get transaction categorization, reconciliations of each of your accounts, and on-time reports that show exactly which service lines make money — plus a short plain-English video, so you always understand what your numbers mean without decoding a spreadsheet. Your field software — Housecall Pro, ServiceTitan, Jobber, or whatever software your company uses — syncs right into QuickBooks, and I make sure every dollar lands where it belongs.
I have sat in your chair. I built and ran a company with 27 employees, so I know what it costs when you cannot trust your numbers. And I speak your language.
Here is what I do not do: Payroll, Taxes, AP/AR, or Inventory. I do one thing — I give you books you can make confident decisions from. I limit my practice to 20–30 clients, so I know your business inside and out.
Whether your books are behind or you are just done doing them yourself, let us take an honest look together. I work virtually with shops anywhere in the United States.
